Jean Pierre Mifsud is the General Manager at Corinthia Bucharest, starting on September 1, 2019. He began his hospitality career early, working weekends during school from 1994 to 1996 before joining Corinthia. His initial years were spent at Corinthia San Gorg and Marina Resort, where he held various roles, including Sales Manager and Guest Care Host. In 2002, he shadowed the GM of Corinthia Lisbon, gaining experience in multiple departments, including Food & Beverage and Rooms Division, during a major hotel renovation. Jean then returned to Malta, where he advanced through senior roles at three Corinthia Hotels. In 2015, he moved to Budapest to lead Corinthia Budapest Hotel & Residences. After a successful four-year stint, Jean was appointed General Manager of Corinthia Bucharest, overseeing the reopening of the historic Grand Hotel du Boulevard in the heart of the city. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality from the UK and completed the General Manager’s Program at Cornell University. Jean is passionate about music, reading biographies and business books, travel, and international cuisines.
