Simona Constantinescu is President of the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation (FIHR), Vice President of the Concordia Employers’ Confederation, and President of the Tourism Advisory Council within the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEDAT). She also serves as an independent board member of Electrolafa International, a Romanian entrepreneurial company acting in energy industry, listed in March 2026 on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). With over 25 years of experience across hospitality, financial services, and consultancy, she has held senior executive and corporate governance roles, building strong expertise in organizational leadership, business transformation, and strategic decision-making in complex environments. She led ANA Hotels, Romania’s largest hotel group by turnover, for more than a decade, guiding the company through economic crises, the COVID-19 pandemic, and major geopolitical challenges, with a focus on adaptability, strategic investment, and long-term value creation. Through her roles within FIHR, Concordia, and HOTREC, she contributes to shaping tourism development strategies and promoting a sustainable and competitive business and regulatory environment in Romania and across Europe. She holds an Executive MBA from ASEBUSS & the University of Washington Seattle, as well as a Master in Board Practice & Directorship from Henley Business School UK & Envisia.
