Vencislav Venev is the founder of SIVEN – a company specializing in the management of industrial properties, hotels and guest houses, making him an active participant in the tourism industry. Vencislav is also the Chairman of the Bulgarian Tourist Union – the largest non-governmental organization in Bulgaria with a 130-year history. He plays a leading role in promoting mountain tourism, alternative forms of tourism (biking, hiking, climbing, orienteering) modernizing the tourism infrastructure in Bulgaria. Under his leadership, the movement “100 National Tourist Sites” has been digitized, including the introduction of electronic stamps, and a mobile application is set to launch to support all stakeholders in the tourism sector – tourists, tour operators, and property owners, as well as participation in events. As chairman of the BTU, he is responsible for managing over 150 accommodation facilities, including tourist chalets, dormitories, and mountain shelters across the country. He is actively engaged in research and educational activities in the fields of trail development, mountain guiding, and ecotourism. For more than 12 years, he has been the chairman of a sports club affiliated with the National Sports Academy, where he organizes numerous tourism and sports events at both national and international levels.
