Razvan Pirjol is a passionate hands-on Senior Executive, with 30+ years experience in international hospitality management, out of which over 20 in leadership responsibilities at a corporate, entrepreneurial and governmental level. Swiss educated, his career covers top positions, from Director at the prestigious Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, to leading hotels and hotel companies in Europe but also in Romania, such as Suter Palace, Niro Investment or lately Felix Turism. As a Secretary of State within the Ministry of Economy, Razvan covered responsibilities for tourism, foreign trade & investments, defense industry. Razvan remains a strong believer that Education is a catalyst for societal progress and in a hospitality professional context, it is indispensable for delivering quality service, embracing innovation, and achieving sustainable success, including talents retention. Therefore, beside his experience at Glion, since his return to Romania in 2008, he constantly worked and promoted education through his leadership at THR and CNIT, main hospitality education institutions at a national level.
