Dr. Dimitris Koutoulas has been working as a hotel development and marketing consultant implementing projects both in his home country Greece and in 37 other countries. His client list comprises hotel companies, investors, national and regional tourism organizations and DMOs, international organizations such as UN Tourism and the European Union, major international donors such as EBRD and the Asian Development Bank, public-sector organizations such Ministries of Tourism and industry associations. He has been particularly active in the hospitality sector by consulting and conducting projects on behalf of hotels ranging from exclusive boutique resorts to large five-star hotel chains. Dimitris has participated in several hotel-rating projects globally working on the design and review of star classification systems, hotel quality assessments through mystery guest inspections, design of hotel award schemes etc. He has inspected and assessed hundreds of hotels and restaurants in twelve countries. Dimitris currently serves as Assistant Professor at the University of Patras, Greece.
